Our Technology – LG & LTE in 2013

This week, the beautiful city of Barcelona will once again be host to one of the biggest tradeshows in the mobile industry – Mobile World Congress 2013.   As LG heads into MWC 2013, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our leadership in Long Term Evolution technologies, or LTE, and why LG believes LTE is so important to peoples’ lives.

LTE Today
First, we must appreciate what LTE does for us today. With the increased speed and connectivity of LTE technology, you can really take advantage of new ways to stay informed and entertained. You can stream high-def movies, share high-res vacation photos or play games online all from devices that fit in your pocket.

And how did LG help us get here? Our cutting-edge technology and product advancements have helped make a world of new mobile activities possible and established us as an LTE leader.

For example, did you know we developed a number of world-firsts, including LTE modem chips and smartphones? Most recently, we launched LG Optimus G on AT&T and Sprint, introducing the world’s first quad-core LTE smartphone to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, making it one of the most powerful and fast phones today.

These advancements are designed to help increase the productivity in your daily life by providing the flexibility to do more in less time. Without LTE, we wouldn’t be able to experience the full potential of our smartphones.

What’s Next?

In 2013, we are committed to LTE as part of our overall mobile vision and strategy.  We will continue to place emphasis on strengthening our worldwide leadership in LTE as part of our mission to make “Life Good.”  As carriers continue to expand their networks, we will continue to provide people with LTE devices of the highest quality, which includes building on the success of the LG Optimus G line.
